I was thinking of getting one,but I don't want it to hurt...please help

I've not had mine pierced, but you're putting a whole in your body. You're going to feel SOMETHING. Maybe just depends on your tolerance for pain?? Maybe you shouldn't watch while your getting it done... or maybe wear headphones or talk to/focus on someone to distract you...

Any piercing hurts, due to nerves under the skin. Be careful if getting a navel piercing, that it is done by a reputable person with everything sterile. You can get an infection thru the skin which can be fatal.
Think long and hard before you do this...after all, isn't one hole in your belly enough? And what will you do in 10-15 yrs time when this fashion is silly and old-news, like ducktails and long sideburns? You can get a new haircut, but how are you going to spackle up a piercing you no longer want? It'll be a LOT more noticeable than the ear and nose piercing marks.

I had mine pierced a while ago, and I'm a big baby when it comes to pain. The place I went to didn't even use a numbing agent, they just stuck it right through, and I was done! Surprisingly, it didn't hurt at all. You just feel a little pressure. But I do recommend that you have sugar in your system before you go. My sugar was too low, and I passed out from watching the proccess. But it wasn't painful! The maintenace afterwards is painful though. You'll be somewhat sore for about 3 months.
If you're really worried about pain, find someone who will numb you first (however you must receive a shot to do it that way). That's what my sister did. Just keep in mind, that it's mostly just your fear getting in the way. Good luck with your choice!

All piercings hurt. It only takes about 30 seconds to pierce and put jewelry in though. If you're that worried about the pain, don't get one.
Understand as well, that you need to follow proper aftercare, which includes sea salt soaks twice daily and keeping your hands away from the fresh piercing. Navel piercings are difficult to heal, as you get a lot of movement in the area from sitting and standing, pants rubbing, etc.

It doesn't hurt when they pierce it as anaesetic is used. When this wears off it does feel uncomfortable for a couple of days after. Best to wear loose clothes when you have it done and afterwards as this helps. Go for it!

Check if they will use cold spray - if they will then it doesn't hurt coz that will temporarily numb the skin while they pierce it. Its quite sore after though, as they catch on your trousers and take months to heal properly. Make sure you keep it really clean with salt water.

They don't hurt to bad when you are actually having it done but then it hurts after. It also takes a very long time to completly heal, so keep that in mind.

Hey Ihave mine doen...and the answer to that is....it depends how gentle the professional does the peircing. I have had mine done 2 times...the first tiem it didnt hurt and the 2 nd it hurt cuz it was a neew guy...so i hope that answers ur questiom...if u want to hit me up thatsi my yahoo addy

I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to pain. My ear piercing didn't hurt at all, but my nose peircing hurt like a b*tch! It hurt like hell for a week, and it kept getting caught in my sweater!!!! Let me tell you, that was a BAD week for me!
