And why would you want to? Do you just go up to one and push it over? What if it broke its legs? Has anyone actually done this? (pushed a cow I mean not broke its legs..)

Start at the side, middle area, take a brisk walk towards it and shove/ push from your palm. Though this is not a recommended activity, parental guidence is advisable. This is only a guess I have never pushed a cow over, though I was chased by lots in a field when caravanning.

Go behind it a shout BOO and it might fall over in fright!! and i think it would be quite hard because it has 4 legs so this makes it quite sturdy i tried to ride a cow once when i was younger and feel off and broke my arm i also got grounded for a week as well!!

seen it in american films. Apparently a popular pastime in the ol USof A. Nighttime when the cows are asleep standing up the boys in a drunken state go to the fields and simply between them push the cow over and get a kick out of it (I mean they get a buzz and not a kick from the cow, Ha Ha).

One method is cow tipping:

"One popular variant relies on a supposition that cows lean into a steady wind while asleep in order to keep balance. Based on this, the cow tipper lightly pushes against one side of the cow's torso, and gradually increases the force of push. The cow, while asleep, leans into the push and remains upright. Then when the cow tipper has all of their body weight on the cow, they jump to the side. The cow, still leaning into the ‘wind’, tips over in that direction."

It's called cow tipping. It can get really boring out in the country. That's why people do it. Just walk up beside a cow and give it a shove. It won't hurt the cow. It'll just kinda moo. Don't try this with a bull.

Try a fork lift truck or a bulldozer.

I did have to push a cow to make it stand up once as I was walking home the scenic route and this damned cow was sleeping right in front of the stile. Don't recommend it. Nasty experience!

Get four strong guys, pull two on one side and push two on the other side, be careful, if you're pushing, to be out of the way. Do it all really quickly though, it's like when a car hits somebody's legs and they fall onto the car. Good luck and video it for future happiness.
