Depends on whether you are trying to "keep her in line" or if you have been married a lot or if you just simply find it humorous.

why do you say "current"? Is it because you don't know if its gonna work out, and you might have to find another one? I would feel that way if my husband introduces me like that. Why can't you just say wife? Is that so hard for you to say? "current wife" sounds so uncertain to me. You don't have to explain why you have or had more than 1 wife. But you should make the one you're with right now, feel special by introducing her as your "wife", not "current wife". It makes you more of a man who owns up to his mistakes or decisions. Just because you had more than 1 wife doesn't mean, you can put a label on this one as you "current wife". You're with her with all you heart, I hope. Other wives are not with you anymore, so they're the ones you should label because they're in the past.

The answer to your question is: Yes, it is rude.
How would you feel if your wife introduced you as her "current husband"? Current is just that (at the present time), meaning that just like "current events", it's only a temporary situation.
Please just introduce your wife as such - your wife. There is no need to say second wife, third wife, current wife. Regardless, she's your wife.
Have a lovely rest of the day.

Current Wife? Sounds like shes a pair of shoes to you, replaceable. Not good. You're spouse is your wife. Leave the current out, trust me.

It makes her sound like she's an in-between wife. It also may sound like you have an ex that you haven't gotten over and that she was more important than the "current" one. If my husband introduced me as such, I would be wondering what his plans really were, who was next in his list?

Yes, it's rude! I would ask how you would feel if she did that to you. But, I'm thinking you wouldn't care! So, how about this one: How would you feel if she introduced you as her current play thing?

That is so rude...if my husband introduced me as that he'd have my foot up his butt! By saying "current" it means that there will be other wives after her. I know you probably don't mean anything bad by saying it but just imagine what that makes her feel. What if she introduced you as her "current husband?" Hope this helps!

If nothing else it would say that you don't plan on being married for very long.
It would make other women think that you are available to cheat.
It would make other men think that your wife is available to cheat.
So, the question you should ask is, how do you want to be viewed?

Very rude unless you are in the middle of a divorce. In that case, it's more polite than calling her your "soon-to-be-ex-wife".

Well, it makes you're wife sounds like she's your "current" choice morsel that changes according to your mood...i would saty away from the "current" bit...make her feel more exclusive.
Hope that helps you!
