I not only attended my 20 year reunion - but planned it!
We had a blast - the best thing about attending - everyone has pretty much grown up and everyone actually talked to everyone!
I did take my husband - he also had fun - it you do take your "other" - make sure that you introduce them - NEVER leave them unattended and always try to include them in the conversation. Such as...Did you do that in HS? What was "that" like in your school?
We also attended my husbands 20 year reunion - his ex girlfriend almost knocked me over trying to get to him to say HI...I was Laughing sooooo hard.
BUT......there has to be a trust bond and a GREAT sense of humor. I still tease my husband to day .........Geesh - you should have gotten her number - she still wants you babe!
Good Luck - you need to go - they are fun!

I went to one highschool reunion and will never go to another. Still the clicks, and it reminded me of how inmature some people remain. I went with my significant other, it was not awkward seeing past boyfriends/girlfrieds.
I felt it was a waste of my time and will not attend another (attended my 15 year only)

My class never had one and it has been 37 years. We all hated each other and the school. Class was large like about 350 to 400 but by the end of senior year you could not find two people who ever wanted to speak to each other again. It was the worst experience of our lives. 4 wasted years. We have gone on classmates.com and discussed this and have discovered that it was the same for every class that ever graduated from this school and continues to this day. My mother always said that there is bassalt in the groundwater in that area and that is why nothing is normal - and we do mean nothing.

I just had my 20th HS reunion, and I didnt go. I also didnt go to the 10yr either. I personally havent gone to them, cuz they were all jerks then, and most of them havent changed. I hated HS, although I graduated, I dont want to go back and see the ppl that were such jerks. The only reason I would have gone would be to show them what I look like now. They wouldnt even recognize me. Thats the only reason I regret not going. Id love to say to them...LOOK AT ME NOW..lol
I agree with yahoo nicknames answer. Shes right.

School re-unions are nice and a fun evening out too. Bring your g/f or spouse along too. Be prepared to laugh alot because all of your fellow classmates will be either obese, have no hair , or both. some will be divorced, others will be single and horny, still. Your teachers will all be walking around with canes and have prostrate related illnesses,so they won't be able to drink and party and dance much. The female teachers will all have saggy chests and wear very conservative clothing to hide that. Bring your sense of humor along, you'll need it.!!!!
Go with the flow. It isn't a bad thing.

-My ten year is this Friday, and I'm going to go.
-I will be taking my wife, though HS friends I'm still in contact with are also bringing their significant others.
Obviously since it hasn't happened yet I can't report on awkwardnes, though I don't expect it to be. The awkward part will be not remember people/not recognizing people.

Yes I went with 2 other g.f. from highschool and it was great. No i didn't take my hubby with me. Why? You will be to busy Yapping with old school chums to worry about your other having a good time. And no it wasn't awkward seeing old flames. Although my all time crush was there, and if I wasn't married...lol. Have fun!

No, I didn't go. One of my co-workers that I went to school with did. He had a great time, took his wife, and talked about visiting with people he never would have given the time of day to in high school.
