You should not have gotten married in the first place if he was going to drop this crap on you eventually. It's a cop-out. His excuse to get out. Drop his *ss. He doesn't give a damn about you.

In -laws are tough to deal with. I have been married and divorced twice and my fiance's father doesn't like me.
Think of what it was like when he asked you to marry him. Have been there been a lot of changes? For example, adding a child to the family changes everything. Your attention no longer goes totally to your husband. You are focused on the new child. Finances also cause a big strain on a marriage, whether we like to admit it or not. Have you tried counseling? Sit down with your husband and explain to him that you love him and want to work it out. Together, you should discuss what he is and is not happy with. See what has changed and ways to bring back the flame.
I wish you the best

Well, I guess the obvious answer would be, leave.
He's already unhappy with you if he doesn't want to stay, orthodox family or not. His leaving or your leaving will make him happy.

Basically, there's nothing you can do if he wants to leave. However, if it's just his family pressuring him to leave you, then maybe you still have a chance. You just need to let him and his family know that you respect them, their heritage, and beliefs. However, marriage is a sacred vow and you will do whatever it takes to uphold it. Don't give up! Marriage is to be taken seriously. Maybe you two would benefit from some counseling.

Why is this suddenly an issue? Wasn't he always orthodox? If he doesn't want to be with you, let him go. Who needs to be treated like that?

why do u wanna stick to someone who doesn`t want u...ofcoz it`s difficult to leave him if u love him .....but all this mess ought not to be created......see leaving him will make him happy...and though initially u may feel the pain ..soon u will find someone who will make u forget this man..so cheer up and leave him..that`s going to fix up everything
