Reports claim that the word councilor was found typed on a piece of paper in a typewriter next to his body. What do you think this means?

If the story is true (rumors spread as if fact like wildfire) I do not know if you misspelled "counselor" or if you really meant, "councilor".

If Thompson typed, "councilor" and he's an author - he would not be misspelling such a word, therefore it was either a character in a novel he was thinking about, a possible alias on the Internet he used or perhaps even the alias name of a person on the Internet he wanted contacted or perhaps this person had something to do with his death.

Lastly (as I speculate) it could have been a "trademark" left by some psychopath killer, who staged the scene to look like a suicide.

As for the reality of what happened - we may never know because for one, I cant see the actual crime scene (suicide being a crime). Speculation without collecting supportive facts is a waste of time and simply opens way for more rumors to spread.

Elvis for example. Many believe he faked his death. Some believe it was suicide and others thinks its simply an accident - not to mention the group that really believe Elvis was abducted by aliens.

I write stories and it sounds very suspicious to me. Perhaps it wasn't suicide but murder and the councilor did it or perhaps he killed himself because of something he felt guilty about involving the councilor. I don't know, but it was a little strange.

The suicidal mind is not rational. Who knows?
