Why is it that only whites can be racists?

There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc. and then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman" and that's OK.
But when I call you, N**ger, Kike, Towelhead, Sand-n**ger, camel Jockey, Beaner, ****, or Chink you call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United ***** College Fund.You have Martin Luther King Day.You have Black History Month.You have Cesar Chavez Day.You have Yom Hashoah.You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.You have the NAACP.You have BET.

If we had WET(White Entertainment Television) we'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.If we had White History Month, we'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" our lives, we'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that? If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were "White colleges" that would be a racist college.In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.
I am proud. But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists?

Kimberly B. IF the black pop is only 10% as you state, why is that they committ 80% of the crime???? And, if you need to *blame* slavery on anyone, look at YOUR ancestors in Africa, it was YOUR ancestors who rounded up and enslaved and SOLD blacks to slavery, and it is STILL going on today, except it is BLACKS selling to BLACKS. It is one way to win territorial wars. AND it was the Southern Democrat landowners who owned slaves and it was Northern Republicans (Abe Lincoln being the first Republican president) that FOUGHT against slavery. I'm a white northern Republican, so I should be ashamed??????? I think not.

Listen - I have no respect for any racists!
But racists come in all colors or ethnicity.
It really bugs me when I hear all sorts of racist comments coming from non-whites & they then claim they aren't racists because they have been historically under the thumb of "the man" and therefore they can not be racists only the victims of racism.

I wouldn't use any of those racist terms & believe other races should not either.
The one that gets me is blacks calling each other the N word ... oh yeah its OK because it's the N word ending in "a" or "ah" and not "er". What a lame justification!!! Bill Cosby is correct on this subject!!!

I agree with your point. THe problem is that people believe the lie that in this day and age your color/disability/race/religion can and WILL affect you derogitorily. Also, something that the black americans, among others, buy into is that because their ancestors were used as slaves they should be compensated. This was totally wrong, but I'm sorry, you cant use the excuse that your great-great grand-daddy was a slave for you to get preferential treatment in obtaining a job, an education and/or government assistence. People in general, white, black, hispanic, it doesnt matter, people in general need to work for themselves and realize that they can create their own future, good or bad.

AND: look up the facts, the majority of "white" people in the US is comming to an end. Sometime within the next 5-10 years whites wil not be the majority, hispanics will outnumber them. Being a minority is a state of mind! GET OVER IT!

I think it's Karma, even though most of us are not bigots or racists, somehow the sins of the fathers have been visited upon us and have gone overboard.

Too much political correctness has the same effect as too little, eventually it backfires and goes full circle. By this I mean that bigotry is not limited to whites and it is a turn off no matter what direction the stink comes from.

Now, that's funny, I am a Druid, the philosophy more than the religion, and I don't put much stock in the Bible, either.

White people are the most discriminated people. We should not be ashamed of our history. If we should be ashamed of what our ancestors did then the whole black race race should be blamed for what a few do. As well as all the Arab Americans for the 9/11 incident. What is equal for one race is equal for another.

Why would there be a white man march or a white pride day or white history month. Whites should be ashamed of their history rather than wanting to celebrate it. We have alot to celebrate cause we've come a long way from slavery and being denied certain rights that all humans should have.

Not only whites can be racist but thats the plague left by your horrible history. Deal with it!

There is absolutely no excuse for violent behaviour but only 10% of America's population is black and they are mostly in only a few states, Washington DC, New York, New Jersey etc. Wher is the other crime coming from...tell me that. Dont blame all America's problems on blacks.

So true and the same in the UK. some areas of Birmingham have notices on the lamp posts saying, "no whites allowed after 6pm". If this was reversed in a white area ie."no blacks allowed after 6pm" we would be racists and arrested and the signs would be removed.

I don't know exactly who thought you that only white people can but racist. People are raciest from all nationality's,some black people are racist against there on kind.

If a white pure person dates out side of it race,there no longer excepted by there on kind, but black people integrate everyday ,( I'm of mix color).

Africans did not ask to come here, so yes , there owed alot, they were kings and queens in there on country.there land was stolen from them by who? whites, that's who. the some white people that stole this here land from native Americans (which happens to be one of my nationality's)

My ancestors were murder for this land, where you live today and you want us to be happy that your here? Your ancestors we're not born here so how do you call your self americans, to tell the truth this country was reborn on the back of africans,mexicans, asians,natives and arabs, that where beat day and night to build every pecie of property thats here in the USA.

IF you ask me you are the illegal immigrants, and the only way we are going to get what we built back is to take over the air way ,tv,radio, car companys, colleges, fundrasier, and march for what is rightfully are's. There are more white collar crimes in the USA than any other crime in the whole world. You get more time in jail if you sale drugs , than if you stoled a millon dollars from the gorverment.

White people have there parents to send them to college, so black people are just tring to even the odds of there people having a better chance to succeed in life.

I hope that you will open a white history book and find out how many things were writen down so wrong, and than open up a black history book and see how many people never got recation for what they have done.

Very, very good point. I often wonder the same thing. I wonder what would happen if we started calling blacks racist? Start WET, "white ghettos", don't welcome them in our neighborhoods by shooting at them. Or just plain ignore the neggirs like they don't exist. Who cares what they think? It's obvious that they don't care about what we think. If blacks would stop caring about what happened 145 years ago, maybe things would be different.

Sincerely, I have seen this phenomenon happen most in the United States...think about it. There are absolutely so many cultures in the US that it is hard to identify which is "American" without a "but what about...?" But I think it is just that that makes the US...rebellion!
