In Safari my CSS background images appear to have slight transparency... why, when fine in other browses?

If you own a mac, please take a look at www.lifepointnow.com in Safari. You will quickly see whats wrong. It is fine in IE, Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, & Opera.

I looked at the HTML and the CSS for the website and I don't see anything in the code that would cause this problem. It is a browser-related issue.
