Yep that's the look this fall....And I saw RED everywhere on line just now so there you go have fun!!
I design clothes in my mind each day...professionally I am a Therapist. go figure!

The colour for Autumn is said to be grey and it can look good with a touch of red or white. However I have seen a lot of brown and this too can be lifted with pink /orange/ and a light caramel. So your chunky jumper could be in either grey or brown and worn with bright scarves or bright chynky jewelry .Enjoy the season

Purple and metallics are the new hot colors for Fall.
Autumn colors are reds, oranges, darker greens, browns, gold, eggplant, purple, even dark smokey blues.
Metallics are only the "trendy" new fashion accents. Try wearing the basic fall tones and spice it up with a metallc accent or accessory.

anything you like. Wear all the jumpers you like in the colors you like. Do you own thing. I wear white after labor day even though it is supposed to be a fashion faux pas

Fall colors are normally neutral shades---forest greens, browns, greys, blacks, etc.
Avoid overly vibrant colors---especially if you wear jumpers.

don't wear the same colours as everyone else, wear something that you like, there's nothing wrong with individuality even if TV dictates otherwise.
