i am connecting to my FTP server using SSL. First of all the only way i can get it to connect at all is to set up an implicit encryption on port 990 (explicit wont work). then when i connect, it shows me my cirtificate (issuer and subject are correct) but it tells me that it is "unable to get local issuer certificate" and "the error occured at a depth of 1 in the certificate chain". Can anyone shed some light on this? thanks.

A local certificate would be a security certificate you would install on the client PC that helps ensure that the client PC is authorized access to the site.
