I think we should use ethanol and also a way to conserve energy is everyone should install some solar panels on their houses to halp cut down on power.

Automakers- you have until 2010 to make every automobile you produce at least 45 mpg. You will be assessed a tax in this country after Jan 1, 2010 for every car that doesn't reach that goal. We will also fund research for alternative fuels and work for not only oil independence, but total energy independence. I would look into reviving nuclear power with the same program as the US Navy utilizes, a program that has operated for 50 years without an accident.

Drill and produce oil in our country cause there is still a good supply in America. Give tax breaks for research and developement of alternate fuel sources.
It will still take several years to find new alternate sources, but in the mean time, lets buy less oil from across the water and use what we have.
Once their oil in the middle east runs out, all they will have is sand for sale. If we can cut them off and not have to buy their oil, then the price would drop at the pump.

I thinks Americans should get behind all different types of alternative energy sources and learn to conserve what energy we are using today , like Carter asked us to do back in the 70's . Then the Republicans came in and it was never mentioned again till now . If we had stayed the course on conserving energy , we wouldn't be where we are today . We seem to repeat our mistakes over and over again .

Uhhh yeah, why do you ask the democrats? Isnt it a Republican thing that we are in this mess anyway? I think we should convert to Ethanol and Exxon should lead the way. And I'm not a democrat.

I'd shut off internet access to all republicans in the state of Tax-us. That would save us a few kilowatts of power.
