I've never regretted my tattoo, but that was because I was a grown up when I had it done, so I knew what I wanted. The pain wasn't that terrible to tell you the truth. Like a lot of people say, I quite enjoyed the pain actually. Bony areas definitely hurt more than fleshy area. Don't worry about the pain...you'll cope. It's nothing like having a baby!!!

That's where I got my first tattoo, good idea too. You'll have to it with your back hunched over, to pull the skin. And nope it won't hurt much as that a fleshy area, in comparison to bony areas such as your ankle or center back (spine) - you nearly got it right, the bony areas hurt way more, try even pricking yourself with a pin once on the ankle and once on the calf... tell me which hurts most... see!
Enjoy the tattoo & don't get hooked, it's a great feeling too more tingly then sore.

I would have thought it would hurt more on bony areas than fleshy ones. If you think about the nervous system that would make sense, As to if it will hurt or not that depends on how sensitive you are I guess, if you are ultra sensitive then I would not recommend getting one.

If you rub something like Ibugel or any local painkiller into the area about 20 minutes before, it wont hurt so much, if you don't want to feel it, there really is no point getting it done. Once done you wont regret it, not even when you're old, I know I am old, and have three tattoos!!

It will hurt a bit. Depending on your pain tolerance. The outline will feel kinda like a hot knife, but honestly, its not that bad. If you are getting a lot of shading, that will be the majority of the pain since your tattooist will be going over that area several times to get it perfect.
*****Do NOT go get the tattoo 3-5 days before or after 'that time of the month'. It will hurt so much worse.
Have fun and welcome to the world of tattoos. They are addictive, trust me.. hehehe ;)

Depends on your pain threshold, the outline hurts more than the filling in of it but after a while you just go numb and get used to the needle.

Yes it will hurt. I think it actually hurts more on bony areas...especially the foot or ankle.
