My daughter has heard Lily Allen on the radio and tv and asked me to get her album.. the reason Im asking this is because some of the subjects Lily sings about are quite adult and im not sure if I would be doing the right thing by letting her listen..

to the person below....

Dont be so direspectful... I am an excellent father and provide my kid with everything she needs including love attention and the right to express herself in anyways she wishes.. this includes through music... however.. I will take your point though.. I have just listen to a few tracks and they are way beyond the limit which i would empose on her musical tastes... whilst she is so young of course....

I personally wouldn't because the lyrics wouldn't do an impressionable young mind much good. I don't think she would be a very good influence for your daughter. Get her some Bob Marley instead :o)

Up to you, but do you want your child to know about a girl whose boyfriend cant make her c** and who use's the c word.

Shame really cos the songs are allright, some of the language is not suitable for a six year old. Just listen before she does i guess.

Only as punishment !!

Seriously though, shes a six year old and won't understand the subject matter of the songs, why don't you encourage her to listen to some different music. Or bribe her and tell her you'll nuy her something else instead.

Kid tend to repeat songs with friends and I don't think you want her doing it in school. It's only gonna get her in trouble. I really wish our children did not have to listen to music that influance them in a negative way. I suppose it's the world we live in these days.

Listen to the CD yourself. If you don't believe it is correct for her to listen to, then don't let her listen to it.

The best person to make that call is you. If you have reservations, I'd say it's best to not let her listen to it. Six years old is very young to be teaching them adult subjects.

Instead of buying the album, buy one of Lily Allen's singles that doesn't have any adult content in it!

Absolutely not, I have the album and there is foul language throughout. Why don't you provide your 6 year old with a childhood instead.

You should download the radio edits from the internet rather than giving her the whole album.

The radio edits are edited for daytime commercial radio.
