I love the Coffee at Dunkin Donuts and every time I see one I have to stop for coffee. Recently I stopped at one in Glen Burnie, Maryland and on the side of the building was a sticker that said "Bush Lies". That really bothers me. My question is, is that legal? I personally feel that the sticker should be taken off and the forenors running that Dunkin Donuts should be told not to put it back up.

The donut shop is private property, so I don't see why it would be illegal for the owner to exercise their right to freedom of speech under the First Amendment to the U.S. constitution by displaying a political ad.

On the other hand, some one else may have put the sticker on the building without the owner's consent, which would be vandalism -- which would be illegal.

You didn't have to buy coffee from them. And you can exercise your own freedom of speech by writing a letter to the shop explaining why you do not buy coffee from them anymore.

You are assuming that the people who own the business put up the sticker and that may not be the case at all, which means the sticker is just graffitti. If the people who own the business put it up, its legal. If you've got a problem with it , either rip it down and take the consequences, or go get your coffee somewhere else.
PS. the word is spelled "foreigners"

Have you ever heard of the First Amendment? It gives us freedom of speech. Without the Bill of Rights and our freedoms, we would be living in a dictatorship like Iran.

It's legal. But it certainly displays a level of stupidity and foolishness that should prevent sentient people from supporting their businesses.

I think they are franchises - each one is invidually owned - they are allowed to express their feelings if that's the case.
