What can people learn about you by looking at your friends?

By looking at my friends people can learn that I have an eclectic personality. I have friends who are millionaires and friends who don't have two nickels to rub together. I have friends who are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Atheist, Pagan, and even one Wiccan. I enjoy people who are genuine. The fact that THEY believe what they believe and are willing to stand up for it, is far more important to me than if I believe it or not. I like people who are willing to share truth as they see it without judgment of others who believe differently. I am not afraid to be friends with anyone who is friendly. I dislike the "country club" mentality of only choosing friends who can help you on your journey up the ladder. I like to spend time with lots of different kinds of people for different reasons. I like to spend time with people of faith because it builds my faith. I like to spend time with creative people because it builds my creativity. Mostly I like to spend time with my family because my wife is a great person, and my children are hilarious and fun and talented and growing up way too fast.

No two friends are the same.

My oldest & dearest friend brings out my inner child. We love doing stupid stuff like climbing trees, singing goofy songs, and just being silly. However, it's difficult to talk about adult stuff with her.

My college roomate is well grounded, focused, & driven. She's often my soundboard. We are always in deep discussions ... However she'd never go dancing or climb a tree with me.

My kid sister brings out my innocence. I'd be a disaster if her angelic face didn't bring me back to innocence when we were little. She saved me in so many ways, she'll never know.

I like to spend time with people who are neither selfish or hypocritical, the kind who are capable of thinking more of others than themselves. Basically, Nice Guys/Gals. If you see me, you can learn that I have very few friends, but very good friends.
