I test drove a car, and several places on the steering wheel were melted. Not all the way through, about 1/2 inch in and about 3 inches long in 3 or 4 places.

I have no intention of buying the car, especially since the sales man seemed a little shady. I am just curious.

its the heat from the sun,,it dissolves the material the wheel is made of,,a lot of car makers had this problem,,i think now they all use a different kind o material ,,because you don't see many of the newer ones doing this,,but some of the older ones was bad for melting,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

It must be another crappy domestic. Stay away. It was parked outside a trailer for extended periods of time.
