My daughter was sexually abused by her supervisor at a small production company at age 15. I made her file a formal complaint so it would be investigated. Her charges were substantiated. I heard that if you have any complaint on your employment record, you will never work again. Is she blacklisted? Will getting an BA or MA degree in film production remove this roadblock? What Universities are not male dominated? What university film programs are best for women. Any suggestions about human rights in the entertainment industry? What I see in the media is largely exploitation of human rights, promoting abuse. We need to get more intelligent, well educated, responsible people creating content in the media. An employer can only say they will or will not hire you again. They are not supposed to go into specifics about whether a complaint was filed or how you act on the job.

Employment history should not contain personal information of that kind. If someone calls for employment verifacation they can only tell how long you work, would they hire you again, pay rate, and how many time you miss work.

If they say anything else you have a law suit. There isn't any type of file or paper work like a creidit report or anything.

Only thing that can really hurt you is word of mouth. You can't help who knows who, and whats said under the table. Even if it is male demonated, some men to have little girls so it shouldn't apply to all men if they found out.
Thats the only part I can help you with.

I hope it help probably not much though.
