This was my boss a few years ago. Wore same clothes day after day without washing them or himself. So, during Xmas holidays I snuck into the office and left a care package in his top drawer of his desk so that I wouldn't embarrass him any more than I had to (no tags or from anyone else...not even Santa) with shampoo, soap, deodarant, etc. After that, things smelled a lot better in the office.........thank God.

LMAO -
2 pts.
seriously - I would buy him an assortment of various deodorants, solids, roll-ons, and aerosols, put them into a modest sized basket, also include a couple samples of men's colonge,...
Wrap this in coloured cellophane, tie off the top with a frilly bow, place this gift basket in a box and also include a card simply saying that "this is a gift from your admirers and subordinates" Make sure its in cut out letters from news papers and magazines (like a ransom note). have the "package" sent by special delivery - i.e. Fed-Ex (preferably with no return address). Obviously you or someone else will probably accept it from the delivery person for him.
When he gets around to opening the gift,.... I'm sure he will get the picture.
If he doesn't, I would suggest getting a "ionic breeze" desk sized model for your desk it will clean the air and blow the B.O. back at your boss.
At least the air will be circulating and being cleaned at the same time.
Good luck!!!
cheers !!!

I dont think you should risk saying anything, he might get really offended and you could lose your job, could you stick an air freshener on your desk a really strong one, that might help you from smelling his BO, just an idea dont know if it would work.

I would spray air freshener and hope he gets the hint but as he is your boss you cant really tell him directly if you want to keep your job. Also he may know he smells some men just don't care!

Just get really close to him and whisper in his ear "BO", it used to work on TV... seriously though say nothing, though the air freshener idea seems the best. Good luck.

Just walk in one day, say "What is that smell?" Make a point of sniffing your own armpits and say "At least it aint me!"
I bet your boss will have a sneaky smell of his own pits! Should do the trick!?

If you are on a computer, you could send him a funny e-mail mentioning it. This softens the blow when you do it that way.
You could put a tube of deodorant on his desk anonymously. (It's not just the two of you working there is it?).
You could take him out to lunch and break the news to him gently.

Why don't you spray air freshener around your desk each morning? You can say something nonchalantly, like "does the air smell stale in here?"
