Do you feel that our system could benefit from Hammurabi's law? Are the crimes and punishment greater now? Please distinguish between Hammurabi's law and the United States law.

I'd say there are a few differences. For example, in the OJ Simpson Case, since the prosecutors lost, they would be put to death under the Code of Hammurabi. Instead, they made money writing books.

You should really do your own homework (under the Code, you would probably be put to death for asking us to do it for you). You may find the following link useful.

Personally, I don't think we can find a difference. The difference must be within us, not within a law code.

Code of hamurabi is eye for an eye... if you steal, your hand will get cut off.. if you kill, you will be killed.. U.S. Law, is they will decide w/ punishment is best for the crime... all crimes are treated diffrently. For example, each person who commits murder is not always gave the same punishment...

I honestly think if the punishments for crime were as tough as hamurabi, there will be less crime...
