It's just silly, they are like £40 or something! And that is too much for a proper video game, let alone a game for a hand held console, I thought they were just for like travelling and to stop a bit of boredem here and there if you havn't got anything else with you or near you... Who sits there and says, "Well I've got a 50 inch TV and a playstation 2 next to me, but i'll just play my 2 and a half inch PSP..."??

They know that people are going to buy them either for their children or so that they are in with the latest trends. Notice how they also bring out games at the same time as a film so that this attracts customers to wanting them and therefore buying them. Also they are handy for taking on a journey so people are going to have to buy the games to play so why not charge an expensive price for them, as long as the companies are making money they dont care if customers are unhappy with the price as long as they buy them.

Is £30 - £40 expensive??? Football matches are about that price for 2 hours of 'entertainment' You get far more hours worth of play on any handheld game, for the same cost

the retailers/publishers/developers all have to make a profit. Also piracy of games for these devices is alot lower then it is for the pc/ps2/xbox/xbox360.
and this is why the prices stay up.

because first of all these consoles are not as common as computer so number of the buyers are less and second writing these progs really needs time.
