where can i find on the box of a pregnancy test how sensitive it is to detecting the HC level. I have heard the EPT is better then some other, is there any that are better then the EPT? And how can I figure this out when I go to buy one?

I don't believe it tells you on the box but here is a good website

Here is a list of just about every pregnancy test on the market

http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html

This site will list their sensitivity and link you to their website.

You can test 5 days before your expected period. But that doesn't always guarantee an accurate result.

EPT is listed at 20mlU, but there are some out there that have a sensitivity level of 15mlU. check it out!

I got a positive result 9 days past ovulation with a very faint positive taken with a New Choice test sold at the dollar store with a 20mlU sensitivity. The following day 10 days past ovulation ( 5days before my expected period) I got a darker positive with the same type of test. GOOD LUCK!

i don't think they do give that information about HCG levels. i have low HCG levels and with both of my pregnancies, they came out negative for a long time. i had to have a blood test done with both of my kids. even the military hospital urine test came out negative besides the home ones i tried. i was 2-1/2 months pregnant before blood tested possitive. hope they work for you, good luck

first responce states that theirs is more sensitve because their tests work in 63% of women 4 days before their period is due.

The best test is a blood test. it can pick up the hormone before it is even detectable in your urine.

You will do well to find out from a nearby hospital.
