I have SpySweeper installed and there are certain files or programs that keep putting themselves back onto the startup list of items. I keep un-checking them, but they still keep re-checking themselves after a short while, back onto the start up list. How do I get rid of these files/programs once and for all? The add/remove programs is not the way, that way simply does not work, as the files/programs are not listed.

If you are sure that you have spyware and not an virus, go to: www.superantispyware.com This is an excellent free antispyware program with frequent updates.

What is nice about this program it will scan your memory, registry and every one of your files. Scans about 139,000 objects and all spyware found is really removed.

You can also download, www.ewido.net --Ewido is only free after you don't purchase within the thirty day period. They just remove the guard in your tray, (you don't need it). and the automatic updates. During the thirty days is operates 100% functional.

An excellent product from Prague. You can also find it a www.grisoft.com or use your search engine.

I use both scan atleast 139,000 objects. Not one of those quick scan antispyware that miss almost everything.

Good luck.

From a clinical psychiatrist. I had Spy Sweeper an it gave me more trouble then it was worth. What is rated 1-2-3 is not always the best buy for your money. Especially when you have the above two that are far superior and free.

go to C: windows. look for start up and see whats in there just take it out. if you have downloaded the program and uni stalled it just find it in program files and delete it most times when you delete a program there are files left behind. run ccleaner get the rest of it out..

There are hundreds of bogus spyware scanners on the Internet. Use the following trusted security software to get rid and stay clear of spyware, viruses and other malicious software:

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus. but you need to pay for the software.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Best Wishes && Good Luck!

Try any or all of these. They are probably better and absolutely free.
