It's a good start

in the context in which it was written, Shakespeare certainly wasn't advocating killing all the lawyers, that part of the play was actually underscoring the importance of lawyers in actuality. Lawyers were standing in the way of a complated revolution, and thus was the reason why they were to be eliminated.

However much I dislike most lawyers, you can't deny they play an irreplaceable role in society, and once you kill the lawyers, whose to stop you there. Why not keep killing anyone more educated or with more power then you?

Misinterpreted Quote.

All lawyers do is represent clients and attempt to apply their client's interpretations of the law.

Instead of going the easy route and killing all the lawyers, why not be a bit more provocative and look at the society that supports the lawyers and directs the lawyers' actions. Problem is most people won't because that look into the mirror won't be a pleasant one.

A bit extreme, but, he obviously saw the abuses and the blood-sucking and self-serving nature of the beast, even in his time.

Class action lawyers are (by far) the worst. The asbestos and silicone scams are among the greatest corporate financial rapes of all time. Fascinating that government allows these gross abuses of the system to enrich lawyers. A few thousand in campaign contributions and millions in benefits.

Don't forget the 9-11 health-related class action suits in the works. That handful of lawyers are to receive approx. $400 million. Who needs to be a small time thief when being a class action lawyer and hitting one big payday makes you a millionaire many times over.

Reform is needed, but do politicians have the will? I seriously doubt it.

He was right but so many Americans would die...we have about 9% of the world's population but 50% of the lawyers in the world.

That quote is taken out of context. The quote is from the follower of the anarchist Cade, because in order to become a tyrant and steal peoples' freedoms, they needed to eliminate the lawyers.

Ironically, in America, it is now the lawyers who are stealing our freedoms, who are letting the government be a tyranny. Lawyers used to be officers of the court and upheld the law. Now they seek to turn the law against people, to take our money, our freedoms, our liberties.

They fight our common sense, they abuse our privileges, they have turned the courts into money-making machines for themselves, the truth and facts be damned. And they are huge contributers to the Democrats.

This quote if frequently misinterpreted. The person saying it is a criminal, and he wants to take control of his area. One of the things he wants to do is get rid of all the lawyers (that could put him away permanently). It is actually a praise to lawyers, not an insult.

Well, some of us cetainly object to that.

Not every lawyer is dishonest, and some are both very ethical and very compassionate. Don't kill the good just to get rid of the bad.

Might be a good start ....

One lazy man is a disgrace. Two are a law firm. Three or more are a congress.
