Due to a condo-conversion, I've only lived in my new neighborhood for a few months. My previous neighbors were pretty friendly.

At my new place, I understand the previous people who lived in my apartment were pretty crazy and always caused alot of drama. My family and I received alot of weird stares as we moved in. But, I believe in being a good tenant, so I don't do the things alot of tenants do that drive their neighbors crazy. After several weeks, most of my new neighbors now smile and greet me - except for the guy who parks next to me. My family and I call him "mountain man". From several observations, he seems to hate the world and everything in it. He is ALWAYS complaining about something, upset about something and just seems to be living a miserable life. Besides all of the other crap emanating from him, he also seems to be a world class racist, so the fact that my family (we're black) is quiet, friendly, intelligent and keep our SUV very clean seems to especially annoy him. There's a Hispanic family who parks just on the other side of me. They're just like my family - they're pretty quiet, friendly, seem pretty intelligent and they keep their Expedition SPOTLESS! (Nice rims too!) LOL! I know Mr. Racist Mountain man hates us all.

The condo-conversion will be completed just as my daughter finishes high school, and we'll be moving to a more affordable area. I have to say, I won't miss the mountain man. All that negative energy! He's in construction. I can just imagine what he's like at work!

Yes. A chef lives next door and she cooks for us every so often, in return I help her with her garden. And a lovely old couple live over the road.
I used to have the neighbours from hell, so I moved. And ended up with the neighbours from hell both sides. A nurse that got the sack from an old peoples home for abusing the old people, with kids that argued all night and a noisy alsation in the yard, and skinheads on the other side that played loud music all night.
So I bought a loud stereo and a sub woofer, then moved here.

One side I love and the other side I loathe.

Unfortunately you can't choose your neighbours.

I just say hello with a very wide grin, as soon as I turn, my grin disappears in a flash. I think this is normal with all British people.

Oh, really badly. We used to have screaming fights. Then we called the police on each other. She is such a *****- took down my fence when I was on holiday!

They're pretty decent. The ones farther down the road are terrible, though.
