i'd say your body already is going through those changes. I'd stay active and keep moving. mopping on your hands and knees helps the baby position more so his head is pressing more against your cervix like they want. Plus is takes the pressure off your back.

Walking is good too.

As far as the mucus plug thats generally different with every women and every pregnancy, usually just before or at the time that the water breaks and true labor kicks in.

70% effaced! go you! thats all that much less work you're going to have to do later! you're almost there baby. ive seen your posts around for a couple days, i seriously iam rooting for you!

I would say that you may be very close to labor. The reason she can feel the baby's head is because there isn't a lot of room left in your body for the baby to go. It sounds like your baby is in position. As for the mucus plug all pregnancies are different. Some lose the plug really early say a month or so before labor and others don't lose it until labor. I never knew when I lost mine. I think it gradually fell out. I would probably guess that you have already lost it given that you are 3cm and 70%. Best wishes for a speedy labor and congrats on your new bundle of joy!!!

If the nurse can feel the baby and your cervix is dilated, then your plug is gone, kiddo.

You should probably be experiencing a feeling of restlessness (which is counterproductive to your body's urge to sleep right now!), along with mild backache, fatigue, irritability, cramping.

You should expect to be heading off to the hospital at any time now! Good luck!

have u done a ultra yet?
have they calculated ur DOE based on LMP
what is the foetus presentation
What is the position of the placenta?
Are u doing antenatal exercises?
The cervix has to be fully effaced, and the head has to engage. You can be on labor but until the vertex is engaged u cannot give. If u are worried why not opt for a CS. Ask ur OBG

Backache that comes and goes, loss of fluid - your waters leaking, cramps around the front at the bottom of the bump. She can feel the head cos its not that far up. Hope this helps and all the best with the birth - it is so not that bad
