We know levels of atmospheric carbon are higher than they've been in 800,000 years, and that this is from human activity.
We know all the world's oceans (which are a more reliable measure of mean warming than is the air) are getting warmer at exactly the rate predicted by climate scientists.
George W. Bush has admitted that global warming is real and is caused by human activities.

There is speculation that this problem may result in disruption of the gulf stream and may actually trigger a new ice-age (ironically)
So - the question here is not whether or not this is a real threat, but how we should deal with the problem. Tell me what you think.

Your First link is broken, and the statement is false, carbon is released by volcanoes in much higher amount than by humans
your second link is broken, and the statement is obviously misleading... predictions have ranged all over the place so its not a surprise that one got it right... Hey try this working link... http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,20332352-601,00.html
Your third and fourth links are broken, and since when do you consider Bush is a scientific Genius?
Hey surprise!! your last link is BROKEN... I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of this, but there have been ice ages in the past before human industrialization... since we are not currently in an ice age that means there have also been periods of global warming before human industrialization... unless you think we are polluting so much we are affecting the climate of the past...

It is a real threat.
It may be part of a natural cycle. Huge weather changes have happened on Earth before. The amount of global warming caused by humans and any impact we could have on changing it are VERY uncertain. People will not voluntarily go back to a stone-age lifestyle.
The pollutants already in the atmosphere will continue to have an effect for a long time.
There's not much we can do but enjoy the ride...
I do believe that the technology to get energy from wind is developed enough to be useful and could clean up the world some. Wind energy could be "stored" and distributed as hydrogen from the electrolysis of water. There has been great resistance to wind farms though. Nobody wants to look at them. Especially the oil executives who control "our" government I'm sure... LOL

NO, IT IS NOT A THREAT!!! Look, how do you think we got into and out of the 7 or 8 ice ages we had? The earth has a natural cycle of global warming and cooling, we are just in the warming part right now. Did you know, that a major volcanic eruption would spew more carbon monoxide into the air than all the carbon monoxide that humans have put in the air all together? Same with a big meter collision. And all the scientist agree that a big volcanic eruption has all ready happened, right? Well, how come were not roasting right now? Because the earth has an amazing natural ability to heal its self. Sure, were not helping with putting stuff in the air, and I agree we should find cleaner energy, but I am sick and tired of everybody saying its our fault, when its all natural.

Ha Ha Ha Ha...My cousin works at Scripps Institute...do you know how much federal and state money they got for that report? Millions.
Look I don't doubt the earth is going through a warming cycle but I am not convinced that humans are the root cause. The fact that so many scientists are making so much money on this AND that they blame EVERYTHING on global warming makes me skeptical. In getting my degree in Marine science I studied meteorology and cyclical patterns warming can be explained through cyclical patterns but there is no money in that now is there?
Furthermore cyclical scientists stated this would be a slower year for storms but expect most of the stroms to hit the northern east coast..so far they are right on..the global warming idiots are way off...

Global warming is because of humans, How come when St Helens blew its top it put about 1000 times more hazardous crap in the environment then humans did between 1800's to present day.

Floating ice while it melts leaves the point of the water unchanged yet ice melting from ice caps on land (as an occasion Greenland) will advance the sea point. additionally there's a small consequence using enlargement of the oceans with upward thrust in temperature.

This global warming BS is not a real threat, but it is a
normal weather cycle that occurs every 10,000 years.
We may be entering a minimal ice age period according some scientists.

It's simple. Force automakers to make exclusively alternative-energy vehicles.
They'll figure out how, if its the only way they can make a buck.

vote green party.....people who ignorantly snub global warming arent gonna be too happy when their children and grandchildren are paying for the stupid mistakes we are making right now when it comes to the environment......why are people so against keeping the environment the ways its supposed to be? YOU NEED IT TO SURVIVE!
