Good grief people it's a saying! It's used, for example, when a footie player misses an easy goal. It means you couldn't even hit a large target with a large object. But, as for where it came from: ???? No idea at all. Anyway, you really wouldn't need to hit a cow's a*se with a banjo to be mean you just wait until they fall asleep standing up and then tip them over, so I've heard. Muhahahaha
