People need to know that censorship basically means that the government tries to prevent you from speaking or writing your opinions. That is unconstitutional. There are some exceptions like child pornogrpahy, for example since that is a crime.

Sometimes people get confused about what constitutes censorship. If, for example, your local newspaper won't print your letter to the editor, that's not censorship. The newspaper is not a government enitity and therefore has the freedom to print pretty much what it choses.

Walmart or any other store can refuse to sell certain music cds. Now, if the federal, state, or local government banned them, that would arguably be censorship.
