just buy used games. usually gamestop will take back any games you don't want even if they are used so just buy a bunch of cheap ones and if you don't like them return them again.
i like adventure games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, but that's just me.

check video game stores in your area. I know that toys r us sells clearance or value games for each system. They are usually priced between 14.98-29.98
