ASP,VBscript,and Javascript.?

Question

I was looking at a web-based project code which is written in

ASP(using both Javascript and VBscript).

As i know Javascript is a client side language and VBscript is a

server side language.

I wanted to ask that could the programmer use,the Javascript for

the serverside programming too?

Or the common way for programming its server side,has been using the VBscript?

Javascript can't be used server side, not easily, it was created specifically for use in browsers. In terms of ASP, the default way to do server-side programming is VBscript.
