my belief is that- no, there is not. There is, of course, also no need for a cure as homosexuality is by no means an illness.
I have recently completed an essay on this subject, but am interested to know the opinions of other people.
You may wish to look up the work of Dr. Simon LeVay, as well as the work on rats done by a Prof. Gunter Dorner.
(personally, I believe the only 'cure' is acceptance. if homosexuality is no longer viewed as abnormal in some people's eyes, it can no longer be viewd negativly)

interesting point to note - there has not actually been a geat deal of research into the causes of homosexuality, as it is a particulally contraversial subject, which scientists tend to stay clear of.
There has been no solid proof that homosexuality is due to either nature or nurture causes (though personally I believe it to be a mixture of both) I may well start another question asking people what they believe causes homosexuality.

The cure lies in enjoying it, whosoever is interested in it. Go ahead.

It's Morally wrong. But it is also morally wrong to treat the person that is a Homosexual wrong as well. It's also wrong to judge people. I think that their is a cure for it also. You take a young women and she's highly sexual. Then due to cancer or whatever she has a complete Hysterectomy, right? Then the Doctor places her on hormones. She does not want to get cancer so she does not take her hormones everyday as prescibed, so when she does not take her hormones her sex drive is no longer and she does not care if she has a Boyfriend or not. She may could even choose the same sex if she didn't have values that meant something to her since this would;d be exciting and pleasurable. She might could even fall in love with someone of the same sex. But when she takes her Hormones right, then she becomes attracted to the man only. So there fore it means that a Homosexual has been born with to few Testosterone Hormones. I really believe this to. Same with a Lesbian, born with not enough female Hormones. It may sound strange but, it is the fact!

No, funnily enough about 20-30 years ago homosexuality was indeed considered a 'disease' a homosexual would be sent to a psychiatrist who would then 'cure'him so he could go home to his wife and family. There is even a book by Sidney Sheldon ( the naked face) in which a homosexual gets cured.
I believe that this was necessary in those years because a homosexual would be ostracised, fired from his job etc.
Nowadays of course we see that homosexuality is not a disease , rather a case of being born in the wrong body. Also nowadays there is more freedom to be what we want to be.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle. When someone asks "is there a cure?" that's saying it's a disease. It's not a disease. And yes, the more people who learn to accept others for who they are, the better off we'll all be.
I'm tired of my homosexual friends constantly dealing with the negative stigmas society has placed on them.
I think Fundamentalist Christians are abnormal, but I know it's their lifestyle and there's nothing I can do about it.

There is no cure for homosexuality!
And one day we will take over the world
Only kidding sorry meglamanic complex coming out again
For there to be a cure you must want to be cured! Most homosexual people (once they have got used to the idea) are happy as they are. I am not saying life would not be easier if I was straight but I am happy and me and my girlfriend have been togethr for 6 years now.

Abstaining and self discipline is the panacea or 'cure all' for any lifestyle that is 'obsessive' in such a way to prove physically or emotionally detrimental to himself/herself, to loved ones or their society. In other words, the 'lifestyle' has an appearance of personal 'choice' and deviating from the 'normal' or 'preferred' comformity.
Homosexuals, Alcoholics, Pedofiles, Drug addicts, Rapists, Murderers, etc., even some of the Homeless have an external appearance
of 'choice'.
This the the important word 'choice'.
Any lifestyle that deviates from the 'normal' is not necessarily an illness, but it's a physiologically conscious craving or choice. Whereas a person who is handicapped from birth and must use a wheelchair for example, he or she cannot consciously make the choice to walk.

I COMPLETLY AGREE!!! There is no need for a cure its not an illness its a way of life. love is love weather its between woman and woman man and man or man and woman. I thinks its a born attribute i dont think its learned or that you change. i believe you are born with it and you are who you are there is no reason to judge or look at a gay or lesbion person as wrong or un natural they love and feel just as a hedorosexual. come on people be open minded. it us who are killing out world we refuse to be open minded and love all and everything about people no matter how different they are from you. There is absolutly nothint wrong with being homosexual or hederosexual whatever gender pleases you go for it!!!!!

It is a matter of discipline..u either take it all with no reservations or hold back for rewards in the after life..you choose to leave the temptation..or walk towards it!!!!.....its all a matter of choice...Bi sexuals turn down offers all the time.. You need to ask yourself is it worth it!!..indulging in everything..this world has to offer or are you going to show restrain and live like the Bible...would want you 2.......Sometimes life is hard to understand we dont have all the ansers...I say if you monogamus its proably the most important thing..However it does say God vomits at the site of sin ..so do you want to always please your needs or Gods ..its all a matter of choice....will find out when we get there....I say show some restrain if you want to see the afterlife....

Homosexuality is no longer recognized as an 'illness', therefore there is no need for it to be cured. However I would imagine it is possible to change an individuals taste and desires using hypnosis.

There is no cure for something that is not an illness.
You can't 'cure' someone of being Chinese, so to speak.
What needs to be cured is prejudice. This is true regardless of the form that it takes.
