How many shades of gray are there? Thats almost as easy a restriction as staying away from nudity. Only the very young are into showing skin, when you get into your fifties gravity shows its effect on everybody so perhaps out of lost hopes people want something other than reminders of what is no longer theirs? Cater to their new hopes, not their failures, ok? As an artist we can live outside our ego can't we?

Apply for asylum in a more liberal minded country.
2 problems: 1. Find one. 2. Under international asylum law artistic oppression and censorship do not constitute grounds for asylum.
Journalists and authors have a better chance.

Create on the sly and hide it. Sneak in images that have meaning to me and my fellows, to let them know they are not alone.
If I could I would move of course, otherwise I would pray for revolution.
