Buy a shop vac. You can get one for under fifty buckaroos.Lots of suction there.

We bought a vacum off e bay that does not use bags it uses water. Rainbow but it was not expensive and it does not put the cat dander or the dust back into the air.

I also have the smallest vacuum sears makes and I can carry it around easily and it does suck the dirt up good. Also easy to carry when doing the stairs. .

get a broom vac. You don't need to vacuum deep down everyday, just picking up loose hairs, right? These are about $30. Use the regular vacuum once a week...

You get what you pay for. $50 will get you a vacuum that 'just wont suck worth crap.'

Save up and get a Dyson

If you look at Wal-Marts you'll find something under $50 range. Some people buy car vacs and there are the electric sweepers, but I don't know how much they cost.

target is having a special on Dysons, around $399.

it's true that you get what you pay for.

the only thing i can suggest is maybe trying to lower the brush setting.
