Clomid helps to induce ovulation. It's a fertility drug that induces fertility. But please be aware of the dangerous side effects it incurs. I read that if you take it for 12 months, there is a risk of ovarian cancer.
I read onweb, that Clomid incurs severe abdominal pain.
Besides that, both my mother and sister, took Clomid, then after 1 month, they developed 2 breast lumps. It's written that on the leaflet of the drug.
I think that it's better safe than sorry for the rest of your life. I am trying to conceive too, but surely I will not take Clomid, even it means that i will never have kids of my own. But I strongly prefer that if God's willing I'll have kids, I'll have them naturally, not taking Clomid, then I do conceive and then I pay such consequences. Take care and good luck dear.

I have taken Clomid, only for 5 days and 50mg
I can't tell you the cost because although the Doc who prescribe me clomid is in the US I purchase it in ST Barthelemy( a French Island) it cost 2 euros for the 5 pills
As for side effect I had them all
but I am hoping for result soon
I will tell you if I am preg at the end of this week
But I do know people who have conceive after Clomid
as well I know of someone who had Triplex
by the way you can become preg as fast as the first time you stop taken it (it is say that you ovulate 5 to 7 days after you have taken the last pill )
Good luck

First and foremost, it annoys me when people say taking clomid is not a natural way of conceiving. It's idiotic. Do you take RX's for other health problems, if so why? Just get healthy all natural.

To answer your questions: (1) the cost depends on your insurance. Mine cost me $30+ for ten pills (took 2 a day cycle day 3-7). Some people will experience side effects. I however didn't experience much. I had some hot flashes, but it's known if you take it before bed, you can avoid those side effects. Other side effects include dizziness/abdominal cramping/moodiness etc. August was my first month of taking them and I am now in my 2ww so I'm not sure if it has been successful yet. Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!!!

I was on the lowest dose of clomid and got pregnant my 4 th month on it. No side effects to really complain about except I did develop an oviarn cyst. I just had a miscarriage not related to clomid. As soon as my doc says it is ok I am going right back on it. Good luck to you

I took clomid to get pregnant. It took me 3-4 cycles the first time, and 3 cycles the second. You can only take so many cycles at a time. Taking the drug I had no side effects. It cost me about $40.00 (cdn) per cycle.
