alright, i'm getting a cell phone and it's between a sprint $50 ($10 for me) family plan, or a Cingular Go-Phone. would it be a better deal to just buy $10 worth of pre-paid minutes on the go-phone, or go 150 minutes with sprint. the go-phone plan that i want is 25 cents a minute. help please?

I have both Sprint and Cingular. Sprint is the most cost efficient, but not the most reliable service. Cingular seems to work everywhere, even in the small towns and inside buildings that my Sprint won't work. I have had Sprint for over 5 years, I just recently got Cingular. So far the Cingular far outweighs the Sprint.

A pre-paid phone is more of a pain than it's worth. Sprint however has horrible reviews, most I know have horrible reception, dropped calls and difficult support from the company. I would not do either. Either choose cingular as your regular provider or Verizon.

cigular and sprint both suck!
why would you pay for mins? contracts you have to fill out and if you don't pay your bill on time your credit gets messed up. and then they sugar coat the deal and make it look like your next bill won't be much until you see it next month. if you live in the south get metro pcs or north get north coast where you can talk unlimited and long distance for the small price of 50 dollars! cigular and sprint can't top that!

Do your research and talk to each provider. I'm sure they have kiosks or stores everywhere. You may end up seeing that another provider has a better deal than those two.

Just don't get sucked into something that you won't like or won't work.

Also ask about service. Some areas that you might go to, won't have service for a provider.

my experience says cingular, but it may be more economical for you to go with sprint.
