Honestly, it all depends on your perspective of what happened. 10 years is a long time. I would say if you feel like she is the only one for you then, yes, wait for her. But I am not saying that you hae to close your life to any opportunities that may come up to find someone else that will make you happy just as well. She should understand that you are human, you have needs (not just sex, but also companionship, friendship, loyalty, honesty, comfort.....) and times change. You can wait as long as you want, or you can find someone else. Who knows what will happen.

Yes ! you are not in prison and unless you are the reason that she made the life altering mistake than no do not wait. She should have been more responsible and really should have thought about her actions she is there because she did not try to stay out but did something to put her in prison I love my son and husband and I also do not do things that would cause me to go to jail and be out of there life.
Please you need to hang around better people if you are in this position this means you can't pick them get counseling an figure it out.

I don't think that it has much to do with how long she is in prison for BUT what she did to get 10 years.

You don't say what itis that she did!!! Do you want to wait that long??? Were you in a common-law relationship??? Its really your decision, but, 10 years is a long time. Good Luck.
