Right on the door panel next to door handle...to your left hand side..the tiny circle knob...it has a little arrow at the end...if it is pointed in the middle then that means the mirror defrost is on..if it ispointed up then it controls the left mirror (drivers side mirror)...a little hint though..by adjusting the drivers side mirror alone, the passenger side mirror automatically adjusts to reflect the location of the drivers side mirror,,, so you will really only ever need to adjust the drivers mirror.
Also do not leave the arrow pointed to the middle (defrost area) as it will drain your battery very quickly.
They may have changed this in recent years,,,,but in all my jettas this has been where it is located.

wind down your window and move the mirror with your hand. there, now it is adjsusted. then, take out the owners manual and figure out where the automatic control is.

look in the center of the console ,,i think its in there,,and it may be in side the console,,as you open the lid up,,most are on the door,,but some car makers are hiding them now,,so you don't see all the buttons,,it makes for a neater looking interior,,good luck,,i hope this help,s.

Why don't you just check the owner's manual or call the dealer that you bought it from?
