I'm going for an ultrasound on Thursday. My last period was July 16. Will they be able to see anything? I'm going pretty early for the ultrasound because my doctor wants to make sure everything is ok because I had a miscarriage in December.

yeah you'll be able to see something for sure. your about 8 weeks.

heres a great site for that. this is from conception, so you'll want to knock two weeks off your current date. If your doctor told you you are 8 weeks, for example, on this site your baby will look like the ultrasound of the 6 week fetus.

i dont think the nurse is right, i went in for an 8 week ultra sound, and i actually have pictures of a yolk, a head and a body with a beating heart. and i've seen ultrasounds at 6 weeks where there is something ever so small that can be seen.

I saw fantastic pictures of my baby at 11 weeks on a high-tech ultrasound. You may be a little too early for that, but you may possibly be able to discern your baby's head and body. The good news is, a doppler ultrasound can detect your baby's heart beat at about 6 weeks! God bless you and good luck with your new pregnancy. :-)

Yes, you will be able to see your baby. I had a 6 week ultrasound and my baby looked like an egg yolk with a beating heart. In another month or so, it will look more baby-like.

of course you will be able to see it, it will just be so little that probably wont have the form of a baby yet. I hads mine at 9 weeks and I could see a little body with tiny arms and legs, and it actually moved (altough i didnt feel it) a lot while the dr was doing the US. Good luck hun, I hope everything is fine this time

at 6 weeks you can see the baby although it really doesn't have that shape until 8 weeks ten you can what it is! I have had one every week from 6 weeks on and i am now 14 weeks and going to my doctors again today! Yet, I am a high risk pregnancy so.....that is the ONLY reason I know! CONGRATS!

Ok well i did ultra sounds at 6 weeks and i could see my kids. It really just depends on how big the child is. It could be posible. Good luck i know how miscarriage hurts but things arent always the same as the last pregnacy.

Most likely you won't be able to see the baby in the form of a baby. The ultrasound tech will probably show you the baby but it won't look like ababy.

It is very likely that you can see a little thing bouncing around with a heartbeat. Only if the ultrasound is done vaginally, and you ovulated on time.

I had a ultrasound at 5 weeks...all you can see is the sac and a beating heart.
