Admission Requirements For Masters
Application
Submit the application for graduate admission and $45 application fee. The application is located at: http://www.unl.edu/gradstudies
Arrange to have two official transcripts from every college or university previously attended (including final transcripts of the bachelors degree) filed with the Office of Graduate Studies, 1100 Seaton Hall, UN-L, Lincoln, NE 68588-0619.
Students must have a minimum undergraduate G.P.A. of 3.00.
Minimum scores on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) as follows: verbal 450; quantitative, 450; and 4.0 or 40 analytical written (500 analytical prior to 2002).
Take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and have scores sent to the Office of Graduate Studies.
International students, whose primary language is not English, must take the TOEFL Exam. A minimum score of 550 or above for paper test or 213 or above for computer-based test or 79 or above for internet based test is required of all international students.
Submit three letters of recommendation to Graduate Support Services, 234 Home Economics Building, UN-L, Lincoln, NE 68583-0802 (they can be obtained at: http://www.unl.edu/gradstud/Prospective/Recommendation.pdf).
Submit a professional goals statement to Graduate Support Services.
Submit resume or curriculum vita to Graduate Support Services.
Students not meeting the above requirements may be considered for admissions with provisional or unclassified status.
Admission Requirements for Ph.D.
Master's degree including a minimum of 12 hours upper-level undergraduate or graduate work in Textiles, Clothing, and Design or a related area.
Demonstrated thesis or project work with a strong written component
Minimum undergraduate G.P.A. and graduate G.P.A. of 3.00 (4 point system).
GRE exam score minimums of verbal 450, quantitative 450, and analytical writing 4.0 or 40, or 500 prior to 2002.
TOEFL scores of 550 or above for paper test or 213 for computer-based test. Internat based TOEFL score of 79.
Three letters of reference –a letter from a faculty member at the Master's degree accrediting institution is expected .
Passing of a preliminary exam within four semesters of initiating Ph.D. coursework at UNL
Students not meeting the above requirements may be considered for admission with provisional or unclassified status.

GRE General Scores (Annalytical, Verbal, Writing, quantitative Reasoning AND for international students; the TOEFL Score and a financial statement.

manuscript or published article resulting from earlier research such as master's thesis.
Paper given at a professional meeting.

Professional materials developed for use in one's workplace.
Personal statement concerning the applicant's previous education and experience; post degree goals, and how this program coplements these factors.

You can get this information at US News & Worl Reports or Princeton Review. Both have web sites.
Seton Hall is a third tier school that is not particularly selective and not particularly good. The average SAT scores are about 1100. You can do better.
