I don't like the big radio that Harley offers in their catalog. Are there any aftermarket systems out there that are more compact?

We have an electraglide with radio/speakers and have no problem hearing the radio over upgraded pipes.

Yeah, you're going to have trouble with the noise. Even if your bike's muffled rather than loud. You'll have trouble hearing the music when at speed. Go with, either, an mp3 type with ear buds or some type of player with a helmet speaker. Here you can use a radio, just have a jack to plug in your helmet. You can use the radio while cruising in town and the helmet speaker when on the road.

CAUTION!!!!! when out on the road be careful not to turn your radio up toooo high When you're trying to overcome the bike/road noise you can turn up your radio so high it will damage your hearing. I know, I did it.

Why? You won't be able to hear the music over the motor if you are using speakers. You would be better off with an mp3 and ear buds.
