One does not need specific reasons to be happy...
If one waits for a specific event or reason, one misses a lot of opportunity..
Happiness is a state of mind..
You can be happy, sad, mad, afraid or whatever you want to be.
Of course there are reasonable environmental issues that dictate some emotions and states of mind in the short term such as if someone you love just died then you are not going to be happy
but being a happy person is simply a matter of making a decision to be happy and then working to stay that way...

Jesus said; Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need!!
I have been learning about God since I was 6, Catholic, then J.W. at 22, then anointed in 1997, a prophet with the gift of prophecy!! Although I have faced much persecution, God has always kept me safe, and even when I die soon, and get changed to an immortal, I am looking forward to serving God forever as part of the New Heavens..or government with Jesus as King that will rule over the earth!! Daniel 2:44, 1Cor.15:50-57..
Also JOY is a fruit of God's holy spirit, so ask for his spirit, Luke 11:13. Galatians 5:22,23.
Praise Jah!!
Hail King Jesus!!
Welcome his wife, the 'Queen of Heaven"!!

I get asked this question all the time by my customers at my workplace. I'm always smiling, and they want to know what makes me happy. I would probably say that I'm happiest when I'm busy, when I have a task to do, and when I'm around people who I can help. It's nice to cheer someone up, just by a brief encounter. I always wonder if it has a knock-on effect. Maybe they'll smile at someone else and cheer them up.
One of the best things to do to be happy is to be totally honest with yourself. Don't try to be someone you're not. You'll never be satisfied. Do try to improve and challenge yourself on a regular basis. It'll give you something to feel proud of yourself for. When you're bored it's natural to slip into depression, because you're not offering your brain any stimulation. We all need to keep our brains busy. It's the most important part of us. It's where all our emotions originate. So if it's inactive, it sends negative signals, which end up in negative emotions.
Most important of all, is to like yourself. If you don't, then you can't like other people. We are social beings, and if we can't interact successfully with others then our biology is against us. Our purpose is lost. So the more we have positive interactions with others, the more we confirm to ourselves that we are worthwhile beings, and we like ourselves more. That leads to happiness.
Serotonin is the hormone largely responsible for mood. If you're unhappy, then your serotonin levels may be unbalanced. It can be treated with medication. If you have suffered constant bad moods for 3 months then I would advise you to see a clinical psychologist. They can help.
I hope you are happy!!!!!

I try to appreciate all the great things in my life, the people I love, the love I get, how blessed I am to have them with me. Any moment could be their, or my, last so I try to always focus on the "big picture" and not the small stuff. For example, if someone flips me the bird on the road or I stub my toe I think to myself "Look at those two beautiful children you have, they are so sweet". It helps me to stay happy and not let myself get consumed with all the miserable and annoying things in the world.
My grandmother died recently and it really made me think that you have to appreciate EVERY moment you have with your loved ones. Material stuff doesn't make a person truly happy. Love does.

I am happy because I am loved.
My motto in life is this:
"You can only truly love someone if you love yourself."
This can apply to one's happiness as well. You can only make someone happy if you are happy.
What makes me happy in general...mmm.
I think the fact that I have accepted who I am. To change what I can and to learn to deal with the things that are unchangeable.
To live life to the fullest - meaning, that you don't let one opportunity pass you by.
Have no regrets. Rather, do things differently in future if you have a "regret".
I can go on forever about being happy and finding happiness....

I absolutely insist upon enjoying life. And I do, there are miserable times to be sure, and very un-happy moments but generally speaking, I am happy.
The key to happiness? Show others how to be happy and you, yourself will be happy. Too often we only think of our selfish and self-centered desires. When we get out of ourselves we find the key, although there is no door, just walk in to happiness. Peace.

because everything at the moment seems to be in-line.... love life is great.. including the sex which is EVEN BETTER... have a wonderful job, eat right, live life to the fullest and have no regrets. Given I have some things that I wish were better... but if you go through life just thinking that the negative out-weigh the good, then forget about it, you'll never make it out alive!... Like Van Wilder said... "Worrying is like a rocking chair, fun to do for a bit, but gets you nowhere!"

Very much so. Why? Because this is the day which the Lord has made. REJOICE and be glad in it. You cannot rejoice and be glad and be unhappy. Besides, like Paul, I have learned to be content in whatever situation I find myself in. That doesn't mean I won't work it make it better, just that I don't get frustrated if something doesn't go the way I want it to. Over the years, I have seen that it is usually better if it doesn't. Try the Serenity Prayer. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference." If you apply that to your life, it makes it less stressful.
