You can fly. A one way ticket, from Haines, AK (HNS) to Orlando, FL (MCO) is $372.54 to $386.55 (including taxes). The fight is as follows:
Winds of Alaska 34
Coach No Stops
- Connecting in Juneau (JNU)-
- 1 Hour 45 Minutes -
Alaska Airlines 64
Coach Stops: 3
- Connecting in Seattle (SEA)-
- 2 Hours 17 Minutes -
Alaska Airlines 10
Coach No Stops
Total time = 15hrs 31mins
You will have to find a different way to Daytona (by rental car, have someone pick you up, Grey hound, etc). Daytona only has flights from Delta, United, & Continental Airlines. Very limited flights in & out, so best to fly to Orlando.

Take a plane or cruise liner. A plane is less expensive; however, a ship could be so relaxing, especially if you take a repositioning cruise starting from Ft. Lauderdale then through the Panama, all the way to Canada, then to Haines Alaska.
However, by October, the cruiseliners will leave Alaska and reposition to Florida. Best time to go would be April.

For later this month, the state ferry from Haines to Bellingham, WA would be $342. Bring a sleeping bag and sleep in the Solarium (roofed observation deck with reclining deck chairs to sleep on). About 3 days.
Then from Seattle to Orlando (MCO), Southwest.com has promo fares from $163 one way. Note that you need to get from Bellingham to Sea-Tac airport (about 90 miles)
Alaskaairlines.com seems to be matching them at $159 currently from SEA to MCO.
Or get yourself to Juneau ($36 on the Alaska State Ferry) and fly Alaska Airlines JNU-MCO for $306 one way. So that is the cheapest combination I found. And it saves the bus/shuttle/Horizon flight from Bellingham to Seattle.
Jump on those airfares, they are pretty dang good just now.
