I don't care if you call me a baby or to grow up, i love my thumb, i think it's more out of habbit, now that im an adult, than a security blanket...lol...lol..

Yes, I can recall the habit. I did have the habit until the age of approx. 21.
Out of guilt, I stopped as I started sharing a room with a friend of mine. Since those days are long gone, so too is the habit.
I do not share a room with anyone anymore and it hasn't come back...
Its rather strange though when you think about it, I would like to see a thesis analysis written about it.

Yes I do.
My boyfriend has caught me doing it when I'm asleep. I also bite my fingers when I'm nervous. the majority of my baby pictures I had my thumb in my mouth. I stopped due to my Mom and caster oil but I think I revered back to it when I was a teenager.

Yes I do and I'm 34! I don't do it much any more, just when very tired or upset and in need of a bit of comfort. If anyone takes the mickey out of you for doing it just ignore them!

My boyfriend sucks his thumb..He looks really cute when he does..
The other night i woke up, he was fast asleep sucking his thumb....he is 23 by the way!

i never suck my thumb but my daughter still does and she's 31! She does it when she's really tired!

I happen to still suck my thumb - when i go to bed and i pick my lip too - i can't stop! Think i may have to get hypnotised to stop- - what you reckons?

Yes....i think i do it more so when I'm stressed or had a bad day. It's something my husband has told me about. I never really catch myself doing it though.
