It takes like 10minutes to start up. When it turns on, it automaticaly starts up my yahoo IM, MSN IM, and my Panda antivirus. I am thinking it might be the antivirus that slows down the start up, is their any antvirus with ultra fast start up or something, or am I able to download a patch that speeds up the start up of the computer?

U need to isolate the cause of the slowness. Could be caused by loading so many applications on startup. To disable;
1. Click on start menu - Run - Type Msconfig
2. Select the startup Tab - Uncheck most applications. Check only applications that are absolutely necessary on startup. Tip: You might want to leave the antivirus, this will keep your virus protection enabled.

Alternatively, the system might be slow cos your hard disk has a virus, or has bad sectors, or the system has insufficient memory. You can perform the following;
1. Run an antivirus scan on all your computer (Be sure to do this in safe mode, cos its more effective)
2. Defragment your hard disk in order to order it. To do this My computer - Right click on the hard disk n select properties - Click on the tools tab and select the defragment now button. You can also clik on check disc so that it checks the disc for bad sectors.
3. Perform disk cleanup. Control Panel - Add Remove Programs - From the list select applications you no longer use and then click on remove. Also for disk cleanup Start - Programs - Accessories - System tools - Disk cleanup.

Finally you can check the settings on the panda antivirus and determine the services you'd like to run on startup, you might want to disable it from scanning your system on startup.

1) Check for spyware. Run both Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections.

2) Check that you have a least 10% of your hard drive free. Go to My Computer and right click on the Local Drive (C:). Look at the properties. If it has less that 10% free space, you will need to delete some files, or move them off the hard drive and on to a CD or DVD. Start by running the disk cleanup, which will remove temporary and other unneeded files. Go to Start, then All Programs, then System Tools and click the Disk Cleanup icon.

3) Run the msconfig utility. Go to Start, then Run and type in: msconfig
Go to the startup tab
You will see a list of all the programs that are loaded when your computer starts up. Uncheck any that you do not have to have. (Usually you can uncheck them all). If you decide you to need one, you can go back and recheck it.

4) Defrag the hard drive. Go into My Computer and right click on the Local Drive (C:). Select Properties and go into the Tools tab. Click the Defragment Now button to start the defrag program. If you have not defrag recently (or never) it may take several hours for the program to complete.

Change the two IM programs so they don't launch automatically when Windows starts.

Use services.msc to adjust your services according to the Black Viper specifications (see link below).

Review autoexec.bat for programs that really don't need to launch at startup.

Defragment your hard drive.

Scan for adware/spyware and remove anything you find.

I wouldn't mess too much with the antivirus, because you need antivirus protection, but you might check whether it's doing a lengthy system scan every time Windows starts; if you have a virus-free system and full-time virus protection, you probably don't need to scan every time.

Go to Start -> Run. Type "msconfig" and go to the StartUp tab.

Turn some stuff off.

Also, if it turns out Panda is the problem, try AVG Free - it's free for home use - www.grisoft.com and very low profile on the system resources.

Panda is great AV software, but it is huge (so is Norton AV) and as such will slow down a modest computer.

Try NOD32 from ESET, it will make a huge difference in startup time.

start ---> run ----> msconfig
go to the startup tab. Remove any program you want from booting at startup. If you have only core items start at boot, it'll take less time.
