I would say that good writing is not only original, it is also intricate. It is finding the perfect combination of words in order to convey your ideas in the most powerful way possible. I think that some of my best writing included strange metaphors and similies. Also, one of the best ways to prove a point is to put the idea in a humorous light. I believe that one should make use of his/her vocabulary in a way that is not only unrepetitive, but also comes across clearly so as not to confuse others. The big words should define themselves so that no one finds themselves having to find a dictionary.

To me, good writing is somthing that sucks you in right away, and a good writer writes stuff like that.

Yep a good writer writes in a way that is interesting, suprising, and keeps you reading.
