or now that you live together. My boyfriend and I have been together 7 years and we dont want to ruin a good thing, so we are afraid to live together. We each own homes 20 miles apart but after 7 years of driving back and forth I am getting wiped out so i am highly considering buying a house closer to him, rather than moving in together any thoughts one way or the other? we are 40 and 44 years old and no kids. Is there anyone out there that would say moving in has improved there relationship or made it worse.

On all of my occasions I've found that it will either make it or break it. I also have to say I do not regret living with any of them I learned from them all and found that some didn't even last 3 mos. the imprtant thing is that I fdid learn something from each experience.

I have to say with my husband though it has made it better, we have more quality time and more cash as we put our funds together, we go more places together and go on more vacations. It will not ruin anything unless he or you have others in your relationship that neither of you are aware of. It takes two and if that is what the both of you want then there's nothing to fear. Try it! Rent both of your places out and get something together that is both of yours that is in between your work places, it could be like a trial bases and no body will loss anything. Think of all the funds there you'll have to move forward with!

I have a friend that told her boyfriend only after 3 years that they would have to move in together or go their differnet ways, it's the only way to really know if it'll work or not. She now lives with him at his house and rents hers out. seems to be working well and yes even they are spending more qulity time together then they ever did. Good luck!
