and i want to use mp3s from my computer on it. Can I/How do I do this for free? I already have a USB cable to connect it. I don't have a microSD card.

I just got one of those phones too. I took it back less than a week later because of bad reception. Plus it didn't feel right against my ear when I talked on it.

As for the MP3s, you've got to have the SD card. Get one from the photo dept of Walmart, it's cheaper than the Verizon store. I paid $20 for a 256mb card at Verizon. Check Downloads.com for the program if you already have the cord.

the usb cable, does that come with the jukebox thing for verizon? if so, you can send them to your phone, over windows media player 10.
