Yes, you can take it, but there are better medicines out there that don't contain the alcohol. My coworker is 36 and high-risk, but was allowed to take Nyquil for a severe cold.

No because there is a small percentage of alcohol in Nyquil

Nyquill is NOT recommended, since it is a category C agent which means that it could be harmful to the fetus.

As far as I know there are very few safe medications you can take while pregnant. Definately ask your doctor what he wants you to take. I had severe bronchitis during my first pregnancy and I had 3 medications I was allowed to take. Don't ever take anything without talking to your doctor first.

You should always consult with your doctor before taking anything during pregnancy...remember, what you take, your baby is taking also

That is a question best answered by an ob/gyn. Some medications can cause birth defects.

Is it for a cold/flu or just to help you sleep? If it's for sleeping, you CAN take Unisom throughout your pg, but it can NOT be the extra-strength formula. It has to be the small blue, oval-shaped one.

I don't think so, but you need to ask your doctor before taking any medicine. You don't want to hurt the baby in any way.
