Hate to sound like a broken record but I'd have to agree with everyone else; Chili Peppers all the way. Jack White will be a big part of Rock N Roll in the near future though.

The RHCPs is a band that has been successful for more than a decade and they continue to produce decent albums. White Stripes, on the other hand, have only been around for about 5 years, yet their new and innovative sound makes them fun to listen too. Both bands feature different sounds and are distinguishable; but overall, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are the most successful band and have been popular after many years, no matter different rock trends or genres.
Although the White Stripes rock, I'll have to pick Red Hot Chili Peppers on this one.

Chilli peppers for sure, White Stripes are ok sometimes but Chillis are good all the time!
