This is gonna sound strange, but go onto ebay and select sell. Go through the motions until you get to the page that allows you to put in the reg number. When you preview the ad before submitting it lists all the info on the car including how many owners, engine size, extra letters after the name eg TDI, LS etc. You can come out of it before you submit the ad and not pay for it.
